Compassion Cultivation Training® 

Developed at Stanford University, Compassion Cultivation Training (or CCT) is an 8-week course designed to develop the qualities of compassion, empathy, and kindness for oneself and others. This personal development course combines traditional contemplative practices with contemporary psychology and scientific research on compassion. 

8-week Course:  Requires a commitment to attend all 8 weeks.  Each session is 2 hours long.  20 Student max. 

Self-Compassion Workshop

In this course we explore the research of Dr. Kristen Neff, a pioneering researcher and teacher of self-compassion.  We will take a look at our self critical habits and some of the myths that prevent us from having more compassion for ourselves.   This course includes hands on exercises, guided meditation, and homework takeaways.    

4-Hour Course:   20 Student max. 

Mindfulness 101

Mindfulness is a state of active, open attention to the present. This state is described as observing one’s thoughts and feelings without judging them as good or bad.  Learn to transform and create new habits of mind—allowing us to pause a moment before our habitual, knee-jerk reactions, and to be more aware of the present moment instead of constantly drifting into the past or future. 

2-Hour Course:   20 Student max. 

Beginning a Meditation Practice

Meditation can do wonders for our physical health, mental health, and spiritual health. This course will provide you with information about meditation as well as clear, simple instruction.  We will practice a variety of types of meditation in short exercises and explore some basic techniques for getting a meditation practice started. 

2-Hour Course:   20 Student max. 

Managing Emotions Mindfully

Most of us struggle with disturbing emotions such as anger, attachment, jealousy, resentment, etc., that are disturbing to our own happiness, and often others’ as well.  We will explore some strategies for experiencing more skillful responses rather than destructive reactions, and get more comfortable with emotions in general.  

2-Hour Course:   20 Student max.
